Welcome to the Hershey Middle School 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Tuba page! These items are recommend by your teacher.

Mouthpiece: Tuba players are required to have a mouthpiece. Tuba players are also encouraged to have one mouthpiece to keep at school and one to keep at home, as to not have to remember to carry it back and forth!

Tuning Slide Grease: Being able to move your tuning slides is very important!!

Valve Oil: Blue Juice is the perfered valve oil to use.

Brass Mouthpiece Brush: The mouthpiece is very susceptible of build-up from everything that might be in your mouth. Gross. Clean it out regularly. You can do this effectively with a mouthpiece brush.

Tuba Stand: If the Tuba is being set down on the ground, this is the best way to do so. A stand is great for leaving out at home so you don't have to put your tuba away in its case between practice sessions!
