The idea with this piece was a representation of a subatomic or chemical process beginning and progressing, with electrons bouncing around and interacting. This mostly pizzicato piece is contrasted by legato violins used over the top of the spirited pizzicato material as contrast to the rest of the piece. A very effective, colorful and fresh piece.
